magnetic love notes – the twinery & rubbernecker stamps

Taking a tiny break from my quilt adventures for another great blog hop with The Twinery and this time around, we’re partnering up with Rubbernecker Stamps.  If you found your way here from the blog of Anne Harmon, you’re in the right place.  If not, jump back to The Twinery Blog for the complete list!

In just a few weeks, my husband and I will be celebrating our wedding anniversary, which got me to thinking about just how much I adore that man.  I won’t go on and on here about how much or all the reasons why – just know that it’s very much for a million reasons.  I don’t often “craft” with him in mind, so I decided to attempt it with one of my next design team projects.  When Rubbernecker sent me their Box Word Stamp Set, I knew I could pair it up with baker’s twine (from none other than The Twinery of course) to create something just for my wonderful Mike and I.

I decided to use the stamp set to create a magnetic love note board!  I covered a plain sheet of unstamped metal (that I found in the hardware section at Home Depot) with some lovely scrapbook paper, and framed it in my favorite color of baker’s twine, Pink Sorbet.  I had my sweet husband drill two small holes at the top of the metal, which I threaded with Lemondrop twine as a hanger.  Once I had stamped out the words for my board, I simply cut them out with scissors and added tiny pieces of magnetic tape to the backs.

I hung the board up in our bedroom and when I came back in a little bit later, I saw this:

So then I wrote back with this:

Gosh, I really like that guy.  ♥

With every awesome blog hop comes an equally awesome giveaway.
